Bid Results
You are invited to bid on supplying all equipment, materials, labor, permits, etc. for the Construction of the Music Rehearsal Hall on the campus of Western Kentucky University. The Project Manager for this job is Mrs. Kerra Ogden who can be contacted by cell phone at 270-792-7853 or in her office at 270-745-2128 if you have any questions about the job or the specifications. The Buyer for this project is Warren Whitfield who can be contacted at warren.whitfield@wku.edu if you have any questions about the bid process.
This is a prevailing wage job. There shall be no changes made to the bid documents without being in writing from the Department of Purchasing. Western Kentucky University is an equal opportunity employer.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 1:00 am CDT located in the Downing University Center Room 226 with Mrs. Ogden. This meeting is mandatory and all vendors wishing to submit a bid are required to attend or your bid will be rejected. This building shall be a 30,000 square foot new freestanding building that shall use all of the trades of new construction. This building will house music rooms, practice rooms, offices and performance areas and shall be constructed in close proximity to the existing Fine Arts Building. It shall also include some renovation of the existing rehearsal hall in the existing Fine Arts Building.
Instructions for your bid bond, performance bond are in the specifications of the bid. An up to date insurance statement must be enclosed with your bid.
Award of this bid will be based on low bid, on a job as specified. WKU reserves the right to include, or not, awards of addendums and/or alternates to figure the low bid, based on budget restraints, to make the best combination that is most advantageous to the University. WKU also reserves the right to waive any technicality evaluated to be in the best interest of the University.
Make sure your bid is sent in a SEALED envelope clearly marked with the bid number and date of opening. Also make sure your bid is signed in ink.
NOTE: All Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) bids will be received, time stamped in and opened in the Planning, Design and Construction Department, in the Parking Structure #1, Room 134 Conference Room. All PDC bids will now be received and opened here permanently. |

A complete set of plans and specifications are available for a purchase of $219.31 payable to Lynn Imaging. Sets may be ordered through this website by using a Credit Card or Lynn Account.
There will be a $27.00 shipping charge for each set shipped UPS Ground payable to Lynn Imaging. There will be a $9.00 handling fee for the use of shipper numbers (Fed-Ex or UPS).
