High-speed 600-dpi
optical resolution |
|
The
CS1100 lets you select from 800 dpi through 200 dpi
interpolated resolution to suit the complexity of your
drawing and your scanning application. In addition to
monochrome drawings, the CS1100 scanner also supports
256-level grayscale and 256-color data input for sharp,
clear scanning of even detailed images.

Superb scanning
accuracy
|
|
|
|
The CS1100 large format
scanners accurately scan drawings for GIS, mapping, CAD,
document archiving and civil engineering applications.
Detailed road maps and contour maps including extra-long
documents are scanned at an accuracy of ±0.1% ±5
pixels.
UPDATE! A new
high-pressure hold down unit is now available with the
CS1100 scanners for enhanced scanning accuracy and image
quality when scanning old (deteriorated) documents with
creases. Check out the CS1100 Series
accessories/supplies
section for more details! |

Use
Graphtec's Scanning Master Copy Color software to
reproduce high-quality drawings that are faithful to the
original. This software also enables you to connect the
CS1100 Series Scanner to your favorite printer or
plotter to create a large format color
copier.
UPDATE! The CS1100
large format scanners now ships with user-friendly
automatic calibration software!

Fast Scanning
Speeds
|
|
Color:
1.28"/sec.*1;
Monochrome: 3.8"/sec.*1 | |
|
Whether
your documents are color or monochrome, the CS11000
scans them in fast and effectively. There are several
driver-controllable speeds to choose from, depending on
the type of document you plan to scan in. Selecting a
slower speed ensures that even damaged and delicate
drawings are handled with care.

Special functions for
smooth color
scanning | |
|
With
conventional color scanners, 24-bit full color data is
scanned in and used as is, resulting in large files
containing more data than necessary. The color depth
reduction function included in the CS1100 Series helps
to eliminate this problem by reducing the wide 24-bit
color spectrum with its 16.7 million colors to the 256
colors of the more practical 8-bit color spectrum,
making the data much more manageable and shortening the
overall processing time. Select Standard or Optimized
when making the initial settings. In addition, you can
also change the colors after the data has been scanned
in using Graphtec's high-performance scanner driver
(Scanning Master 21+) which comes standard with the
CS1100 large format scanners, helping to facilitate
scanner setup and
control.
|
Standard: The 24-bit data scanned
in to the CS1100 is converted directly to standard
8-bit color data.
Optimized
(closest match): The scanned-in 24-bit
data is checked by the driver software and then
automatically converted to the most suitable 8-bit
colors for that data.
Optimized
(for maps/drawings): A special algorithm is
used to convert only the relatively small number
of colors needed for maps/drawings.

Prescan function
to visually check settings prior to scanning
job
|
|
Graphtec wide format
scanners
The
prescan function enables you to visually check your
scanner settings before starting your scanning job. The
Rocker Mode lets you repeatedly scan certain portions of
the drawing, and then, while checking the results
on-screen, make adjustments to the settings. Blueprints
and stained drawings that are difficult to scan in
correctly can be easily cleaned up with a few
adjustments to the settings prior to
scanning.
